The purpose of this report is to explain why and how the European fruit and vegetable sector, and more particularly that which has organized itself into Producer Organizations (POs) and Associations of Producer Organizations (APOs), not only fits perfectly into the Commission approach on sustainability but has already been involved in this process 25 years ago.
